VUN(ov)A project was implemented from June 2019 to February 2020. The objectives of the project were to raise awareness of the possibility of reusing sheep wool items in the circular economy and to prepare a local partnership model for collection and reuse practices of sheep wool and wool products. This project was implemented in cooperation with local and regional self-government units and other stakeholders in Croatian areas of special state concern.
We achieved our goals by establishing cooperation with local self-government units (mayors), local associations (Gačanka, Lika Sheep Breeders Association), educational institutions and LAGs. During the project implementation 3 workshops were held during which more than 50 users learned practical things about reuse of woolen products.
The project was implemented in Lika-Senj County, Šibenik-Knin County and Sisak-Moslavina County.
LIKA-WOOL Furniture project was implemented from June 2019 to February 2020. As part of the project old furniture and materials were found and collected by GTF-ISG volunteers. The selected restoration experts held 4-day workshop in February 2020. The public was informed about the possibilities and importance of reuse / recycling and about opportunities to participate in the project. In February 2020 an exhibition was held in Gospić where we exhibited renovated and decorated unique furniture.
