The recording of promotional and informational video materials about regenerative agriculture, with the aim of promoting and implementing the goals Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) strategies through education and raising awareness of sustainable practices.
This activity encourages innovations in agriculture and rural development, and enables knowledge exchange and direct stakeholder engagement in learning processes and application of regenerative methods.
Contribution to the objectives of the ZPP Strategic Plan
The production of video content directly contributes to the implementation of activities related to interventions aimed at climate, the environment, biodiversity conservation, and strengthening the resilience of the EU food system.
The project is particularly related to the following specific objectives of the ZPP:
- SO2 – Strengthening the competitiveness of agricultural holdings
Regenerative practices increase productivity and competitiveness through innovation, technology and digitization. - SO3 – Improving the position of farmers in the value chain
Video materials encourage farmers to better market strategies and add value to products through sustainable methods. - SO4 – Contribution to climate change mitigation
By promoting carbon sequestration and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, regenerative agriculture increases ecosystem resilience. - SO5 – Sustainable management of natural resources
Through topics such as cover crops, crop rotation, and the reduction of pesticide use, the content promotes the conservation of soil, water, and air. - SO6 – Conservation of biodiversity and landscapes
Educational materials highlight the importance of preserving microbiological diversity, natural ecosystems, and traditional knowledge. - SO8 – Promoting employment and rural development
Regenerative practices create new job opportunities and strengthen local communities, especially in rural areas.
🎬 About the project
In the preparation and production of video content LAG Lika and local farmers played an advisory role, whose expertise and experience are crucial to the credibility and quality of the material.
They are the result of cooperation 16 shorter ones and 3 longer video segments, organized into three thematic sections:
- Spring / early summer
- Summer
- Late summer / autumn
The topics cover a wide range of areas: soil fertility, composting, natural fertilization and plant protection, water conservation, sustainable construction, and cultivation and preservation of vegetables, use of wild and medicinal plants, preservation of seeds and varieties, as well as a demonstration of the tradition of distilling rakija.
The organization of this event is co-financed as part of the activities of the CAP Network’s annual action plan using European Union funds—specifically the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development—through the Call for Proposals for CAP Network activities in 2025.
